Many people accumulate a wealth of knowledge through life learning and informal study. Unfortunately, many times this knowledge is not recognized because it was not obtained in a college classroom. It is the desire of Zion Christian University to acknowledge the skills and learning gained through life learning. Therefore, Zion Christian University offers Life Learning Credit for the purpose of providing advanced standing to those eligible.

Life Learning Credit is only available to those undergraduate students who qualify for advanced standing through life experience. A maximum of 30 credits may be awarded to an individual based on the criteria included in the Life Learning Portfolio.

Requirements

An applicant is eligible for consideration of advanced standing by meeting the following criteria:

• The applicant is at least 25 years of age.
• The applicant has at least five years of ministry experience.
• The applicant has never received equivalent for life learning in any other degree program.
