Admission Requirements
To assist you in the admission process, the following is an outline of
exactly what is required for admission to ZCU. To begin, read the following
criteria which all applicants must meet for entrance into ZCU:
- Graduated from high school (home school, Christian, or public) or able to present
a Certificate of Eligibility demonstrating successful completion of the General Education
Development (GED) test. International students must provide proof of equivalent academic achievement.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Completed Admission Application and Fee.
- Submitted Clergy Recommendation.
Applicants who do not have a high school diploma or GED diploma and are at least
21 years of age may be considered for acceptance under special status. If accepted,
those of special status will be on academic probation and must maintain a 2.0 grade
level on a 4.0 scale during the first year of study to be removed from academic probation.
Admission Process
Now that you have read the entrance requirements, the following is a basic outline of the
admission process:
- Complete the Application for Admission and Student Disclosure Forms.
Send these forms with a recent photo and a nonrefundable admission fee.
- Complete the top portion of the Clergy Recommendation Form and give to
a member of the clergy who knows you well to complete and return to Zion Christian University.
- Request a copy of a high school transcript and any other postsecondary
transcripts to be forwarded to the Admissions Office. For admission into any program, OFFICIAL
transcripts are required from high school and all previous colleges and/or universities attended
regardless of how many courses were taken or the nature of the work.
For applicants who have home schooled and do not have a transcript, please see the Home
Schooled Students section to obtain a form to evaluate the credits completed. In addition to
this form a parental letter describing the educational background and skills of the applicant
is also required.
It is the responsibility of the applicants to follow up on the completion of their file for
admissions. After the Admission Office reviews all admissions materials, applicants will receive
a letter stating their admission status.
Enrollment & Registration
After a student is accepted, the University will mail a letter of acceptance to the student with a
registration form. At the student’s request, an evaluation can be sent, which lists the required courses
for program completion, reflect any credits transferred, and the total tuition cost. When the University
has received the Registration Form and down payment, course materials will be shipped. To order textbooks
please refer to the order form.
