Students transferring to Zion Christian University
from another school must provide official academic transcripts for evaluation.
Because Zion Christian University deems its courses essential for graduation,
a minimum of 30 credits must be completed at Zion Christian University to be
granted a degree. Transfer Credit is only considered for courses that meet
the following criteria:
- Minimum grade of C or a 2.00 on a 4.00 grading scale
- Taken in an acceptable school
- Applicable to Zion Christian University’s programs
The ReThe Registrar carefully reviews all cases and retains the right to not
accept any credits that do not meet the specific requirements.
Zion Christian University does not currently offer, nor does the University
require, General Education courses for any programs of study. However, the
University does accept General Education course credits transferred from other
acceptable postsecondary schools. General Education courses are defined as Liberal
Arts courses, which are offered in the Arts and Sciences departments at most
colleges and universities. These include studies in the following fields:
Philosophy, mathematics, science, language arts, history, political theory,
economics, humanities, sociology, and psychology. Students may also take
College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests and receive General Education
credits. Students desiring to take a CLEP examination should contact the College
Board at (212) 713-8000 or visit: www.collegeboard.org/clepp
